Be too complex to categorize.

A recent blog post by Tim Ferriss really resonated with me:

“The jack of all trades maximizes his number of peak experiences in life and learns to enjoy the pursuit of excellence unrelated to material gain, all while finding the few things he is truly uniquely suited to dominate.”

It’s nice to hear that not wanting to “specialize” isn’t necessarily considered a negative thing. Studying a broad range of topics not only makes life more interesting, but also probably makes me a better software developer.

So fuck specialization, I’m going to pick up a biology book.
